Transcription and translation are not the same. At its most basic, translation involves taking a text and making it understandable in one or more other languages. Transcription, on the other hand, involves creating a document containing text heard in an audio (or video) file. The transcribed file will contain the same language as what is heard in the audio. A transcribed audio file is known as a transcript, and after a transcript is created, it can then be translated into any language just like any other document.
